Indie Mississippi joins Facebook

April 6, 2011

Probably the best resource in the state (I mean besides this of course), Indie Mississippi (but really, it is even better than this blog) has decided to move out of the NING network and expand onto Facebook. I think this is the best decision (unless you don’t use social media and if you are in the film business, why not?).

Enough ( ).

Started by filmmaker Michael Williams in West Point, it is a great resource to link together the film community throughout the state. For those of you not attending festivals, this is a way to network and find out who is out there – but really you should be doing both festivals and the fan page!

Join Indie Mississippi. If you are an actor or have a film, you can e-mail shendopen@yahoo.com with information and an image and it will get added. Otherwise, just like the page on FB at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Indie-Mississippi/137497216323758.

With what is happening in Canton, with changing film incentives, with up and coming rising stars in the film world and with some pretty big productions heading this way – Mississippi has never looked better for the industry. Let’s keep building this up!
