The Halloween Havoc double feature in Tupelo presented by local filmmakers Glenn Payne and Daniel Lee will showcase two films – A Zombie Movie and It came from Beyond Beyond.  These films will screen at the Malco Theatre on October 28th at 7 p.m.$5 tickets.

“A Zombie Movie”
Directed by Glenn Payne,  this feature length mockumentary follows an inept film production as arguments, obstacles, and general incompetence plauges the cast and crew in an epic struggle to complete a zombie film set in a mall!  Shot at Gloster Creek Mall in Tupelo, the amazing thing about Payne’s film is that it was completely unscripted and improvised in the same vein as “Best in Show” and “A Mighty Wind”.  Featuring a cast largely made up of improv comedians from Tupelo’s West of Shake Rag troupe, this hilarious mockumentary is a laugh-a-minute!

“It Came From Beyond Beyond!!”
This sequel to Lee’s 2007 b-movie, “OCHO” returns to the world of bizarro 1960s Mississippi as Professor Lang’s latest experiment goes awry resulting in yet another monster unleashed on the unsuspecting folks of Guntown!  Can the Sheriff, Johnny, and Suzie once again contain a monstrous menace?  “Beyond” has been almost two years in the making, and is shot in an intentionally so-bad-its-good drive-in b-movie style that should appeal to fans of Ed Wood or anything ever shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000!y PG-13 equivalent.
