September 20, 2009

Although most of the Emmys have been decided and given out during last week’s creative awards, the remaining few were decided at tonight’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and John Hodgman as the broadcast commentator at the Emmy’s were at its height of entertainment. From Vanessa Williams bitchy refusal to take part in the weird eyeglass wearing to NPH’s play jabs at Cryer after he won the award.

Another highlight was when Dr. Terrible hacked in for some sing-along with a few fun guests.

The in-memorium montage opened with Sarah McLachlan and then remembered Gale Storm, Eartha Kitt, Karl Malden, James Whitmore, Henry Gibson, Paul Benedict, Don Deluise, Robert Prosky, Ron Silver, Natasha Richardson, Ricardo Montalban, Ed McMahon, Army Arched, Larry Gelbart, Paul Newman, Bea Arthur, David Carradine, Farrah Fawcett, Walter Cronkite, Michael Crichton, Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze and more. Les Paul did not get listed.

Best win of the night – Bryan Cranston – again.

Breakthrough performance – voted on by the fans at tv.com was True Blood.
