3-D comes to Oxford and other movie happenings!
Underage rock stars in your face starting on Friday
For those of you lucky enough to not be broke unlike yours truly, there are lots of exciting movie things happening in Ox-town this weekend.
First up, the biggest news (and a full story in the EAGLE is here about this) is that Malco now has two of its theaters up and ready for digital. One of those is 3-D ready and will play Jonas Brothers: 3-D Concert Experience (one week late for Coraline fans sadly). The other digital theater will kick off with Slumdog Millionaire.Ya win a couple awards and suddenly expanded into even the lowliest markets. Good for us anyway!
Let me note that due to an error in my Eagle article -3D movies will only be $2 more than regular ticket prices, it is only concert films like Jonas Brothers that are $12 – so, relax – movies will still be cheap in Oxford. A correction will run on this in the Eagle on Monday as well. (This is what I get for rushing when writing).
That is all that is new at the theater this week, but for full listings check Malco’s site here.
Over at the AMP Waltz with Bashir has arrived, the Oscar nominated foreign film. A MUST SEE! Also, Happy-Go-Lucky!
